ABOUT
Wholeness by psychological definition is a “function of self-realization, and only when we know who we are can we liberate our capacity for love and compassion and create a future that supports our highest aspirations by contributing to the well-being of everyone.”

“Becoming the Whole You” is a safe haven for personal journal entries made public, intimate prayers shared and requested, the vulnerability of all kinds discussed and explored, and inspiring content designed to stimulate action.

The Butterfly
The butterfly theme embedded within "Becoming the Whole You" was inspired by the book "When the Heart Waits: Spiritual Direction for Life's Sacred Questions" by Sue Monk Kidd. She defines the soul as psyche and says that it is often symbolized as a butterfly. Her analogy between the soul and a butterfly metamorphosing captured the essence of what it entails to endure the process to pursue wholeness. The journey to wholeness is a uniquely personal and beautiful experience that requires cocooning before the transformation.

From the words of Sue Monk Kidd:

"For over a year I lived and worked inwardly with the symbology of caterpillar, chrysalis, and butterfly, I accepted them as God's gift to me - healing symbols that went beyond the usual sentimentality to mediate grace and move us toward change."
