FOUNDER

Meet Dr. Jessica S. Lewis

Hello, I’m Dr. Jessica S. Lewis, a licensed psychologist specializing in trauma-informed care, values-based interventions, and spiritual-based forms of coping.

I am committed to helping clients heal from their trauma(s), live in their truth, and engage in values-based actions that move one toward resilience, meaning-making, and purpose in life. My question to you: If the worst of what has happened to you didn't define your life, who would you be? Let's find out together!

I am excited to become part of your healing journey as we collaboratively work toward your becoming the highest expression of your true self.

My Approach: A Holistic Path to Healing

Healing isn’t just about addressing symptoms, it’s about transforming how we relate to ourselves and the world around us. My approach combines evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) with a holistic focus on mind, body, and spirit. Whether you’re processing trauma, managing anxiety, or exploring your life’s purpose, therapy with me is a collaborative journey tailored to your unique story.

I believe in creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you can be honest, vulnerable, and, most importantly, yourself. Together, we’ll work on values-based actions and resilience-building strategies that lead to healing and wholeness.

Where Did I Start?

My academic and professional journey has been shaped by a deep desire to help others. I hold a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Health Psychology from the University of Georgia, as well as a Master of Arts in Psychology from Pepperdine University, graduating magna cum laude.

Over the years, I’ve worked in diverse settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, universities, and residential mental health facilities.

Before pursuing a career as a psychologist, I worked in the corporate sector for large conglomerates in New York City, including MTV Networks, and in management for Givenchy (owned by Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton, LVMH). I founded The FAB (Fashion Arts Beauty) Network, a company focused on providing personal and professional development services to students and early-career professionals. I developed and implemented in-school and after-school programs for middle and high school students in the inner-city of Harlem and the Bronx. My jagged journey to discovering my purpose as a servant leader led to me researching how purpose in life, personal values, stress, and coping can shape meaning-making processes, psychological well-being, health behaviors, and health outcomes.

These experiences have allowed me to develop a well-rounded, culturally sensitive approach to therapy that meets the unique needs of each client. From addressing complex trauma to working with underserved communities, my focus has always been on helping individuals and groups navigate challenges and discover paths to resilience and fulfillment.

Why I Do What I Do

My work is rooted in the belief that every person deserves to live a meaningful life, in spite of life's challenges.

I’m here to help you find the answer to that question. Through personalized therapy, we’ll uncover the tools you need to navigate life’s difficulties, live authentically, and lead a values-based life in spite of the adversities you may have faced.
